I Fell Off The Wagon

Wednesday, March 7, 2007

I've been a bad boy.

I do not know what happened.  I was doing so, so well with everything, then sometime about over the last few weeks it all fell apart.  I stopped exercising completely and began “adding” a little extra calories to my food.  No, I am still trying to stay as sugar free as possible, but I have been real bad.  I had a McDonalds Big Mac for the first time in almost a year.  That thing probably has enough fat and calories than a full day’s diet one two short months ago.

What happened? I do not know.  Maybe it is just plain burn-out.  I was doing well, extremely well.  I figured I could relax a little bit, but I guess, once I slipped, I could not get myself back up and here we go.  I have been taking my vitamins and medications, but I have not taken my blood sugar or my blood pressure or even my weight in a few weeks.  I am scared to think what it might be.

Well, now I have posted my confession.  Now I need to do something about it.  So, from this point forward, I will be a good diabetic and stick to my diet as well as do my exercising.

You might be asking, what have been my own internal excuses for this digression?  Well, I have been busy at work and very, very busy on my websites.  Sometimes I say to myself that I will not be able to work on the websites if I exercise, so I don’t.  Sometimes I say to myself, I have been very good, so why not cheat a little bit, I deserve it.  However, that is beginning not to work, since I have not been good.

As of right now, I am back on the diet & exercising.  If you do not hear back from me in a week or two, send me an email and try to give me some encouragement.
